Jason Knoch

As Assistant Vice President for Financial Services in the Office of Finance and Treasury at Princeton University, Jason oversees the processes, policies, and controls for more than $2 billion in annual expenditures. With expertise in business and process transformation, Jason has delivered value, cost savings, and efficiencies across financial operations including procurement, accounts payable, travel, payroll, global financial services, student financials, shared services, customer service, and technology. Jason has led major transformations of Princeton University’s financial functions, producing significant cost savings and enhancing service and stewardship. He directed efforts to modernize university procurement, created a centralized travel program, and launched an innovative financial shared services program that provides enhanced financial management and controls for academic and administrative units. Jason has been an early adopter in the use of innovative technologies such as robotic process automation and AI to enhance business processes and deliver operating efficiencies. As board treasurer for the Princeton Innovation Center and advisor to an early stage start-up fund, Jason is deeply committed to the development of the University’s innovation ecosystem. To promote financial literacy among the student population, Jason helped launch and grow a financial literacy program that provides students with resources, tools, and knowledge related to personal finance, empowering them to improve their financial well-being during their time at Princeton and beyond. Jason is also a board member of CollegeWell, a private college pre-paid tuition plan. Before joining Princeton University, Jason led technology operations at a national not-for-profit organization focused on early childhood education. He also served in the U.S. Peace Corps in West Africa as a small business consultant to a municipality in Côte d’Ivoire. Jason received his B.S. in Finance from Bentley University and his M.B.A from New York University.
