Alumni Update:

Yuting is a Senior Consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, a consulting firm that focuses on international development and poverty alleviation issues. At Dalberg, she has helped a major US foundation shape its investment strategy with regards to women’s property rights in developing countries. She has also worked on a project to improve market dynamics around HIV diagnostics devices. Prior to Dalberg, Yuting worked at Endeavor, an organization that supports entrepreneurs in emerging markets. She has also received her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business (Class of 2013). Yuting is currently based in NYC, but is about to make the cross-country move (yet again) to the Bay Area, where she will join Dalberg’s SF office.

Alumni Update:

Toni is in Toronto, Canada, where she is from, living close to her aging parents and family and friend. She still longs to work abroad again. She is working in human rights in Canada (what Americans call ‘civil rights’) and she is the Director of Human Rights at a major university. She works on issues of discrimination and harassment as well as sexual violence. She is a human rights lawyer. She is also completing her PhD (hopefully this year!) at the University of Toronto and she is looking at interviewing and when we say “Toni is a perfect fit for PiAf!”, what we mean by fit. She is asking “who fits?” and “who doesn’t?”

Alumni Update:

Molly is currently in NYC, finishing medical school at Mount Sinai – she will be starting residency at Cornell in NYC for pediatrics this summer. After her time in Kenya, Molly decided she wanted to become a doctor. Molly spent a few years working/post bac before she entered medical school, and now she can say she is almost finished! In the meantime, Molly has also gotten married and had two beautiful sons – Jack who is almost 19 months and Charlie who was born in March 2014! So overall, busy but great times! She is still so happy for her fellowship that has given her the direction to go to medical school and find her passion!
